The cutting edge of science and medical research across the globe right now is focusing on Stem Cell Therapy and Gene Therapy.. In particular Chinese Stem cell research is reaching new levels of achievement.

Scientists have already made great inroads into helping find a cure for newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes patients using stem cell therapy. Recently in China, 32 insulin dependant patients underwent stem cell therapy and it looks as though over half have effectively had massive improvements so that they now no longer require insuling injections.

I am hoping that soon this will become a viable alternative for us. Just imagine how far medicing has leapt in the last 30 years! If this continue at this rate of advance as a guy in my 30′s I think we can expect this stem cell therapy to become mainstream when I get into my 50s.

For Primary Hypogonadism – as the Leydig cells are responsible for testosterone production. Stem cell therapy could replace Testosterone replacement therapy. Wouldn’t this be fantastic!

I am currently following with great interest a blog from a guy called Mark Lowe who is receiving stem cell therapy in China in the hope that the treatment will restore his vision and help repair his damaged pituitary gland after being hit by a drunk car driver in 2006. I really do wish you well Mark and hope you make some great improvements.

Now I understand that there is a lot of controversy surrounding the ethics of stem cell therapy. In the western world we are getting worried about the pace at which this research is happening and ethics will always play a huge part. Especially where the use of embryos are involved. My understanding with some stem cell research is that it doesn’t utilise embryo’s. They remove the required stem cells from your own bone marrow.

I watched television in amazement the other week. The news article was showed how cows in China had been modified to produce actual human breast milk instead of standard cows milk!! This is happening today right now people! Rightly or wrongly we really should look to these scientific advancements as the way forward. Because if they can improve our ‘quality of life’ so dramatically then please sign me up!.

We certainly are living in interesting times indeed and I hope that we can all soon find a relief from our conditions.
